The Gen Z is coming!
It concerns the Generation Z, I know you’re asking yourself what is it, the answer is: just look around you.
After the “Millennials”, here they come, the Gen Z (short for Generation Z ). They are just a quarter of the world population but their approach to tourism is already very important.
The Gen Z is born with the iPhone in its hands and right because they have always been hyperconnected they are looking for something more authentic compared to the social media fantastic world.
But let’s outline which are their characteristics.
Multi-tasking and multi screen, they are able to pass from a device to another one in a very very short time, their threshold of attention is very low and difficult to capture.
Bye-bye Facebook, outdated, better being connected on Snapchat or Whisper.
A lot of pics and video, YouTube and Instagram are always doing well, they see, share and create new contents.
Euro alert! Since they are living in a world where the permanent job is gone, they pay very much attention on expenses, they travel a lot but preferring a 360° experience than a simple holiday.
Face to face: it’s strange to say but we’ll be back to face to face communication, being fed up of all these whatsapp and messages.
Slow tourism. Here it is the big boom: the Gen Z will be preferring traveling by train than by plane. Many tourism companies are already taking action on this point…so don’t waste your time if you are working for any train travel company!
So while living in a very fast age, the new generation will slow down the race and will bring us back to a more realistic and pure lifestyle.
This is the trend, why not be positive?
